If you are a registered voter and you registered after November 2020, the e-EPIC facility is now online for you. Before an Indian citizen who is 18 years of age or above can vote, it is essential to have an eligible Voter ID card which must be taken with you to your polling station.

A Voter ID card can also serve other purposes apart from elections. One of these is that you can always tender it as an identity to prove you are an Indian citizen. It can also be used when filling specific forms like bank accounts and many more.

Downloading your Voter ID card online is very easy and won’t take much time. However, you must be a registered voter to download it online.
The e-EPIC (Electoral Photo Identity Card) download facility is only available at the moment for the electorates that registered after November 2020. These include only electorates who have supplied their unique mobile number. Others who have registered before this time will have to wait furthermore till the database has been updated.
How to Download Voter ID Card Online
Visit the NVSP website and click on Login/Register. If you are using the website for the first time, you need to consider registration. An OTP will be sent to you to verify your mobile number and other basic details.
Once you are done with the registration process, you need to log in and click on the e-EPIC Download option from the home page. You will be asked to supply your EPIC number or Form Reference Number.
Next, supply either of the two options available, choose your state and click Search. Now, another OTP is sent to your registered mobile number to re-verify. Once you have done this correctly, you can now proceed to download your Voter ID card just by clicking Download e-EPIC.
The Electoral Photo Identity Card downloaded online is well-considered as proof of document for voters’ identification.
How to Become a Registered Voter Online
To register as a new voter, you need to visit the National Voters Services Portal and fill the Form 6.
When you have successfully registered as a voter, you can then download your voter ID card online as explained above.
