To verify your age on Roblox, you must take a photo of yourself and your ID. Hence, keeping your ID with you is necessary during the verification process.
How to Get Roblox Voice Chat
Log in to Roblox
Visit the Roblox website on your PC and log in. The mobile app won't work for verification purposes. Besides, your phone will be required to scan a QR code on the screen. To log in to the website, you will need to enter your username, email or phone number alongside your password.
Afterwards, log in and go to settings. To visit the settings page, click the gear icon from the navigation bar above the screen. From the menu that appears, choose “Settings”. Other options here are Quick login, Help and Logout.
Enter your age and verify your account
Under the settings page, select Personal and enter your correct birthday in the field. Otherwise, you won't be able to use the voice chat feature. Click on “Verify My Age” after entering the correct age.
Next, the “First, Verify Your Account” page will pop up on your screen. On the screen, you will be able to link your email address if you haven't done it before. Enter your email address in the “Your Email” field and click “Continue”. Hence, you will need to check your email inbox for the verification link.
On the “Identity Verification” screen, a QR code is displayed, and you are required to scan it with your phone. Before scanning, get a valid ID ready for the verification process and your smartphone to scan the QR code. The ID to be used can be a driver's license, international passport, National ID, or residence permit. Age verification is required to enable certain Roblox features such as access to voice chat and secure your account.
After scanning the QR code using your phone go to the “Let's get you verified” page. Here, tap on “Start Session” to begin the verification process. You will take a picture of a valid government-issued identity document and take a selfie in a well-lit room. Take a shot of both the front and back of your ID document. When taking a selfie, make sure you are in a well-lit room and keep your face visible within the frame.
Wait for the system to verify your details
After submitting the captured pictures, you will see the “Thank you!” screen. Proceed to your PC and wait for the system to verify your details.
A third-party service provider, Veriff, does the verification. It checks whether the data from the document submitted matches your biometrics. If verification is successful, the system will return a pop-up that reads:
Your verification data has been successfully submitted. You can now close this window and return to your computer
Locate and enable voice chat
Close the screen and go back to the Roblox website. To enable the voice chat feature, proceed to your privacy settings. Click on “Privacy” from the left sidebar on the settings page. Next, refresh the page to allow your account's age verification details to be synced.
After the page is refreshed, the “Beta Features” section will become visible. Under the Beta Features section, you will see the voice chat feature. Locate and turn the “Enable voice chat” feature, and you will be able to use voice chat when enabled in a Roblox game.

Roblox voice chat is also called “Spatial Voice Beta”. It is a newly added feature which allows Roblox users to talk while playing a game.
At the moment, the voice chat option can be integrated by developers into their experiences. Although, you have to be above the 13 years and get your account verified to use the feature. Users below 13 will not be able to use voice chat.
