Why You Should Consider Changing Your Twitter Account Password Immediately
The popular social network confirmed it was hit with a bug that saved users’ passwords as plain text on an internal log instead of being encrypted.
According to a tweet by Twitter Support;
We recently found a bug that stored password unmasked in an internal log. We fixed the bug and have no indication of a breach or misuse y anyone. As a precaution, consider changing your password on all services where you’ve used this password.

Twitter also confirmed important that the data is still safely stored and was neither leaked nor exploited.
To change your Twitter Account Password,
Login to your Twitter Account and navigate to account settings.
Click on password, enter your current password, and then type in a new password.
