How 4.48 million Nigerians applied for 400,000 capacity N-Power jobs

Just two weeks after the N-Power recruitment portal was opened for Nigerians, over 4 million have applied for the N-Power jobs positions meant to be occupied by 400,000 people.

The enrolment process started on June 26th, 2020 by The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development. However, it has been seventeen days after the recruitment process began and the figures keep multiplying days after days.

The ministry asserts that over 4 million Nigerians have successfully submitted their application through the recruitment portal. However, this announcement was made by Sadiya Farouq, Nigeria’s Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development via her Twitter handle (@Sadiya_farouq) on Sunday evening.

In a previous statement, it was stated by the Minister that only 400,000 applicants will be considered for the N-Power National Social Investment Scheme (NSIP) third batch recruitment.

According to the tweet;

My team and I continue to interface with stakeholders to ensure a successful transition for the @npower_ng. It has been 16 days since the portal opened and we have received 4.48 million applications to date.

So far, the online portal for the recruitment of the third batch of N-Power enrollees has received 4.48 million applications. However, the criteria to be considered for selection by the Ministry is not yet known as all Nigerians, both graduates and uneducated are eligible to apply.
