Many of these browsers have the feature to help you to reopen recently closed tabs or all the closed tabs when you need to, and in order in which they were closed.
How to Reopen Closed Tabs on MacBook and PC
If you have mistakenly closed your browsing tabs, you can recover those closed tabs using your PC keyboard shortcuts.
Reopen closed tabs in Firefox Browser
- For PC, press Ctrl + shift + T.
- For Mac, press Command + shift + T.
Or,
- Right-click on the tab bar and select Undo Close Tab from the popup menu.

Alternatively, click the Firefox menu button from the upper-right corner of the browser window and click the Library icon and choose History. On the History menu, click on a webpage you would like to reopen in the current tab or try to access the recently closed tabs by clicking on Restore Closed Tabs.
Reopen closed tabs in Chrome Browser
- For PC, press Ctrl + shift + T.
- For Mac, press Command + shift + T.
Or,
- Click on the Menu option >> History >> Recently Closed.

- Click the three vertical dots from the top right of the window and click History. Choose History in the sub-menu and see your browsing history to open any recently closed page that you need.
Or,
- On Chrome, go to Settings >> On Startup and choose Continue where I left off option. When reopening Chrome next time, you will see your tabs from the last browsing session.
Reopen closed tabs in Safari Browser
- Press Command + shift + T or Command + Z.
Reopen closed tabs in IE/Edge Browser
- Press Ctrl + shift + T.
The shortcuts above will help you to open recently closed tabs and older tabs within the Mozilla Firefox, Chrome, Safari and IE/Edge browser on your PC and MacBook. However, learning to undo closed tabs can quickly help you to return to your mistakenly closed tabs.
These are the various ways through which you can re-access a closed page from the popular browsers on your PC. However, if you cannot find a closed tab in the list using this tweak, you may try looking for it in the browser history.
